Stop Being Insecure

negative people, life coach healerThere are just too many individuals out there that don’t appreciate their uniqueness and find it hard to love themselves. This is something that has to be changed and as quickly as possible. You have to learn how to kick your insecurities to the curb and embrace who you are. No matter how likable another person is, or how confident another person seems, the likelihood is that that person has felt insecure as well. The main reason for insecurities is looking at yourself from another person’s viewpoint and then assuming what that person may think of you. This is unfair to you and often times to the person that you believe is judging you. Here is how you will have to deal with this elephant in the room and stop being insecure.

Think of it as beautiful

At the end of the day, insecurity equates essentially to humility, which is an admirable and divine quality. This is considered to be one of the most divine spiritual virtues. This helps us to admit that we are not the “centre of the universe”. Let go of being insecure but continue to be humble. This is a wonderful quality, but not when you begin to downplay your worth.

Raise your self esteem

You can start to work on a list, perhaps begin to create a folder of all your better traits. You will be surprised once you begin to see how many positives you have in your life. This list or folder is something that you keep as a form of reference whenever you feel as though you are not as good as others. The best way to stop being insecure is to realize that whatever insecurity you may have; your positives far outweigh this.

Rid your life of negative persons

This may be one of the most positive choices you can make but also one of the hardest as well. Often times, we surround ourselves with people that make us feel insecure but are not able to realize who these people are. These are the people that may project negativity onto you and make you feel inadequate. What you will need to do is rid yourself of these people. Do whatever it takes to avoid them; new hangout spots, not answering calls or making new friends.

Find supportive friends

There are some people in life that will just “get you”. They will understand what you are feeling and help you to feel differently; and feel secure. These are the people that you will need to surround yourself with as soon as you have a moment of insecurity. They will remind you of how unique you are and all that is great about being you.

Understand your insecurities are invisible

What you are seeing when you look at yourself is hardly ever what others think of you. You often assume that it is very obvious that whatever issue you are seeing is transparent and everyone around you is seeing the same thing. This is more often than not, not the case. Consider this, while you are worrying about your insecurity, they are probably thinking about theirs and assuming you are the one that is judging.
