The Joy of Finding and Knowing your Own Power

Life Coaching, Self Confidence, Spirtuality“I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within. It is there all the time.”

-Anna Freud

You never know what you are capable of, until you try! Have you found yourself looking at other’s accomplishments and wishing they were yours? Do you often question why could you not be one of the successful individuals breezing through life; who have it all? Are you wondering what have they got that makes them so special?

Well, why wonder when you can become them! It is time you stood up for yourself and experienced success yourself.

Would it not be just wonderful to be able to do what your heart desires, and not waiting for other’s assistance to accomplish what you want? You want to eat something special – cook a dinner for yourself; the sinks broken – take out your tools and fix it; want to go mountain climbing – well pick up your gear and go! It is just a matter of realizing that you do not need to wait for somebody, you have the power to do all those things!

So how can you discover your power? Here are a few tips:

  •  Stop With the Negative!

Kill those negative thoughts that become a hurdle in achieving something! Do not fear failure. Remember the famous saying: “There is no gain without pain”. Focus on your goal! Tell yourself that even if you failed at-least you tried!

  •  Pick Yourself Up!

Learn from your mistakes! Do not let failure de-motivate you. Remember, no one is perfect. Giving up will not get you anything, but if you keep trying, you will be allowing yourself a chance to achieve your goal.

  •  Focus on Positives!

Every person is special. You might not be a great athlete but you might be an excellent cook! You might not be good at speaking but you might be an amazing listener! Give yourself credit for what you are! It will help in building self-esteem. Once you are sure of yourself, you never know what more you can achieve! Rather than being grim about what you do not have, be thankful for what you have. Think about all those people who have even lesser! Once you realize how blessed you are, it will give you the boost you need to achieve even more!

  •  Challenge the Status Quo!

Do not settle for what you have; aim high! Challenge yourself! A good thing to do is every week, make a target and force yourself to achieve that target. For instance, this week aim to build self-confidence. To achieve this, introduce yourself to new people, whether you see them in the market, in your workplace or during a nice stroll through the park. Greet them and ask them how their day was! You would be pleasantly surprised at how many nice people you can meet this way. Who knows you could make a friend or two!

But, most importantly, approaching new people will allow you to build self-confidence, which could further lead to doing many new things which previously you avoided!

  •  Find your Own Power by Empowering Others!

Coach others on how they can overcome their fears. Listen to their worries and offer them a helping hand or an advice. Make them see what is good in them. Show them their talents so that they can accomplish what they fear. Knowing you have spread positivity in others will boost your positivity and make you realize your power!

  •  Exercise!

Keep a healthy diet and make exercise a part of your daily routine – even if it is a 15-minute walk! When you will feel good about your body, you will be motivated to achieve more!

Your power is within you! When you realize your power and understand how you can utilize it, the joy it will bring, will make your life so much better! You will have more control on your life; you will achieve more and be a happier and healthier human being!
